I am so enjoying exhibiting and being a part of the European art scene. This is where it all started at the Florence Biennale 2013. Above is the photo of my painting in the Florence Biennale publication.
And this is one of the photos that appeared in Tuscany’s newspaper LA NAZIONE December 2013. We had such a wonderful time with Liberty the fibreglass pig. Just love Italy and the Italian people. And thank you so much Kurt for your support and company.

I’m back home working in my studio. Winter is always a nice time to work in the studio. I have many sketches and lot’s of inspiration to work with. Also a good time to let go of things and move on. I decided to let these two unfinished terracotta heads go back to the earth in the rain! Yes, actual rain in Maldon.
BACK TO THE EARTH – Terracotta – I decided not to finish these two heads so they are going back to the earth in the garden. They are going the way of all things.
18th July ’15 – One of the heads has completely disintegrated now. We have had more rain and the coldest winter for years.
TRIP TO AMERICA – April/May 2015
Posted: June 7th, 2015 by Liadaan.
I have recently returned from America where I did an intensive ceramic sculpture workshop with Debra Fritts. I learnt a lot and I am now home in my studio trying to remember it all and put it into practice. I met some amazing people. New Mexico is wonderful. Abiquiu and Santa Fe will always remain in my heart along with my new friends. I also visited New York and did an 8 hour tour. Here is a photo of the Plaza Blanca [The White Place] as Georgia O’Keeffe called it. I visited the artists home which was most interesting.

On the 1st of March I was awarded the Botticelli Prize in Florence, Italy. Organised by Francesco Saveiro Russo and Salvatore Russo. I am honoured to have received this award. It was a wonderful evening and an equally wonderful trip. I did lots of sketches of the Arno River again plus more of the Italian country side which is very beautiful. The day tour of Tuscany was memorable and amazing. And thank you so much to the very special person who made my trip to Florence to pick up this prize a reality. You know who you are. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
